Traveller’s Rest 1770 is a family-owned nature-campground located on the outskirts of Eurimbula National Park, in the beautiful beachside town of Agnes Water/1770, Queensland! The campground is run with passion and care by Mike and Michi who's vision it is to connect People with Nature, and Nature to People! The spacious powered and unpowered sites are surrounded by native bushland, allowing an abundance of wildlife to call Traveller's Rest 1770 their home. Our well-maintained amenities add an extra bit of comfort to the only Ecotourism certified Nature-Campground on the Discovery Coast! Our guests start their day with calls of Kookaburra’s, nestled in tall Gumtrees and settle by their campfire at night to enjoy clear views of the night sky. Traveller’s Rest 1770 invites their guests to immerse themselves in a truly restful camping experience on their 44-acres property - far enough away from the hustle of town but close enough to enjoy a trip to Lady Musgrave Island - the Gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Experience the bespoke bushland boardwalk, meandering along a carefully chosen path and inviting you to tune into a natural harmony of bird calls, rustling leaves and gentle breezes. The bushland boardwalk can be accessed by wheelchairs and prams, and our spacious undercover BBQ Area offers a generous space for shade, rest and wildlife observations. Mike is also very passionate about our "BushTracks guided walking Tour". Please visit our website for dates and availability!

Immerse yourself in the relaxing drive to “Traveller’s Rest 1770”, conveniently located on the main road to Agnes Water. The ideal location offers campers easy access to their campsite, whilst immersing themselves in a real Australian bush camping experience. Our family-run campground is the closest access point to Eurimbula National Park, with its endless sandy beach and lookout walks. Agnes Water is only six kms away and offers everything a Traveller’s Heart could wish for. When leaving Agnes Water to the North, you will pass little country towns and might end up in the state’s engine room – Gladstone or visit the Calliope River Historical Village.
